American Cockroach (Part 1)

The American cockroach is very adaptable. They can live in all sorts of conditions and still survive. They multiply very quickly and soon become out of control. There eggs are very tough and therefore hard to destroy. These pests grow quickly into adulthood so an infestation is likely. This type of roach eats all types of food, plantings and even other dead roaches. The American roach likes to live inside and outside which is part of their adaptation. Like most other roaches they thrive in warm dark places and don’t tolerate cold very well. Like all roaches, the American cockroach carries disease that is harmful to humans. This species is the second most common in the United States.
